Lost Identity Synopsis/Summary

Iraqi spymasters want to acquire a classified top secret special access program from the US. Its development will create an alternative energy source and expand their influence in the world.  They plan is to hire someone associated with Army military intelligence to acquire it for them. But the Iraqis don’t anticipate their envoys’ rejection, with deadly results. The loss aborts the aggressors’ first plan, but they are relentless. To achieve their goal, a secret Iraqi organization called Tariq’Allah dispatches new spies.

The Iraqis have an alternative strategy to recruit Captain Eric Miller but must move to Amsterdam to carry it out. Their target’s friend and military intelligence coworker, Paul Remmich, enters the conflict and unwittingly gets in the way. Forced to again adjust their plan, the foreign spies hope the replacement will be the ideal candidate once he’s drugged and hypnotized.

All along, the Russians have been tracking the actions of the Iraqis and want a piece of the pie. An SVR agent, Yury Nikulin, is sent to Amsterdam to shadow the Iraqis.  The Russians are determined to uncover their opponents’ plan and get that lucrative discovery for themselves.

Remmich’s clandestine mission is successful, which emboldens the Iraqis to continue using their mole’s skills. Meanwhile, Miller questions some of Remmich’s strange actions, not knowing they’re a result of his subconsciously controlled directives.

The players in this intricate dance each take a turn at leading the hunt. Ultimately, the safety of the two officers depends on which is left standing.
